This is an example of divided window panes. They are counted as divided window panes because the grid sticks out from the surface of the glass, and divides the glass up into 12 pieces. There are 12 divided window panes shown here. If these were the only windows you were needing cleaned, you would say “I have 12 divided panes” in your text to us.
Many homes have decorative grids inside of the glass to make regular window panes appear as if they are divided window panes. Do not count this type of window as divided. It needs to be counted as 2 regular window panes because it’s 2 continuous pieces of glass, and not divided up into multiple little pieces. The decorative grids are inside the glass, and can’t be touched if you run your finger across the surface of the glass.
